Frequently Asked Questions

Who creates the ads shown on the Digital Display Screen?
Most often our clients have suitable ad content readily available in PDF, jpeg., word, wmv., or other type formats. We take these images to our screening room to determine whether or not they look ready for display on our high resolution digital display screens. However, should there be additional graphics, flash or video editing needed to have your ad ready for ‘air time’, NetStop Express works with industry professionals and you to complete the process. You approve the cost and final production design before the ad goes onto our Community Ad Network (CAN).

How does the CAN work?
Ad images or videos are loaded onto the play list at a particular location. When your ad comes on the screen, it appears on our high resolution digital display panels for 15 seconds, unless agreed to otherwise, and at least twice per hour. Most often our advertisers have a functioning website and we highly recommend that the website address show prominently in your ad image to bring people to your website via the kiosk. That’s the one fundamental and competitive difference we offer all businesses wishing to advertise with NetStop Express – we provide your prospects an interactive shopping experience!

What if I don’t get any calls regarding my ad? Does NetStop provide any guarantees?
Although this is a relatively new business concept, industry experts expect over $12 Billion will be spent on digital advertising in 2006 alone! Our goal is to attain renewals. We believe that by positioning our kiosks at high profile, heavily trafficked or well known community gathering locations, we will help effectively promote your business and attain our renewal goals. To be successful, NetStop wants happy customers, renewals, and referrals!

How do I know whether or not my leads are coming from NetStop kiosks?
We are currently working on an in-house tracking system, but often times most websites now have hit counters to determine an advertising program’s effectiveness. Most often though, our advertisers simply ask, “How did you hear about us?”

Can I move my ad to a different location or change the content of the ad?
Yes, although there may be minor fees associated with the location changes. As for ad content revisions, fees are determined by the time and material costs of the changes requested. Changes in content and the associated costs are reviewed and approved by all parties prior to implementation.

What’s the minimum amount of time I can advertise on your kiosks?
We recommend a 12-month term to give your business the repetitive exposure needed to be successful. We want people to know that you’ve been in business, are in business, and plan on staying in business! The long term repetitive exposure will help you convey that very important message to your prospective customer. However, we do offer ad plans of shorter duration. Ask your NetStop Express sales professional for details.

Do you have any references?
As mentioned above, this is a relatively new business concept, but with locations at Long Beach Airport, Mission Viejo and Laguna Hills Malls to name a few, and additional high profile sites still to come, we must be doing something right. We are also a proud member of the South Orange County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

What kinds of businesses typically advertise at your kiosk locations?
That depends on where the kiosk is located. A well known, community driven, sports bar for instance, might have small business owners advertising goods and services related to home based businesses, real estate or insurance services, or programs related to children’s sports activities. An airport location may have ads promoting restaurants, hotels, shuttle services and the like. As an advertiser of your company NetStop will help you pick the optimum location to promote your business. After all, your success leads to our success!

How much does it cost to advertise?
Depending on location, your advertising investment can be little as $2.50 per day! By offering advertising opportunities to multiple businesses at our NetStop Express locations, we can help keep your advertising budget in line. Even at high profile, difficult to access locations like malls and airports, you can advertise your business for a lot less than you think. Call NetStop at 866.679.4411 to see what price plan and location is right for you.

How soon can I get on the Community AD Network (CAN)?
That all depends on any additional ad creation or changes needed to your existing marketing materials. Should you have an ad suitable and ready to go onto the CAN, it can be as little as three days to get on line with a sharp looking, attractive ad ready to promote your business. After all, our name is NetStop Express.

Is there ad exclusivity?
Typically not, although there can be exceptions with regards to specialized companies or services offered. However, some of the most successful businesses welcome competition to not only help promote their specific goods or services, but to separate themselves from competitors with similar types of offerings.

How does the internet kiosk work?
It works much like your home PC. You can surf the web, chat, send or receive e-mails, and even send video e-mails. Depending on the location, internet access can be free or pay per use, just follow the easy to use prompts on the log in screen. Most locations double as wi-fi hot spots. Downloads at the kiosk are limited to protect from viruses or websites with offensive content. The internet connection typically operates at T1 speed or faster and multiple users can be on line at the same time. The overhead Community AD Network (CAN) operates separately and in no way interferes with the kiosk or wireless user.
